Prof. Ali Tareq Abdulhassan Al-Aboudi, a faculty member at the College of Medicine at Al-Ameed University, participated as a keynote speaker in the TEDx Karbala event. This participation reflects the university’s commitment to maintaining an active presence in global scientific and intellectual forums and to reaffirming its role in serving society and disseminating credible knowledge.
TEDx Karbala is a locally organized intellectual event licensed by the global TED organization. It aims to spread creative ideas worth sharing and to host influential figures who present their experiences and inspiring insights to the public.
Prof. Ali Tareq delivered a lecture entitled:
“Psychodermatological Diseases and the Role of the Skin as a Social Medium Translating Human Emotions,”
in which he discussed the close relationship between mental health and dermatological diseases. He explained that the skin does not merely perform biological functions, but also reflects the emotions and psychological states experienced by individuals.
